The doctors say we're in the 'waiting stage' right now - waiting for the intestines and bowels to start working. Doing some walking laps around the nursing station will help this process so that's the game plan for today.

Dianne did 7 laps today around the nursing station. She is not allowed to eat or drink anything until the intestines and bowels start functioning. She hopes to be able to shower tomorrow if the bandages from the surgery, the port IV, and nose tube are able to be removed. The nose tube is starting to irritate Di so she's really anxious to have it taken out.
