It is with great reluctance to add another posting but wanted folks to know that Dianne is in the hospital. It started last Thursday (June 3rd) when Dianne thought that she had food poisoning. After several days of not eating, drinking, and vomiting - after going to urgent care and contacting several doctors on the phone & trying to make appointments - she called me at work to say that she wanted to go to the hospital.
Around 5:00 pm, we headed off to the ER at Longmont United Hospital where they diagnosed the problem as a Bowel Obstruction (see Wikipedia). All fluids are contained within the intestines which is good news.
The ER inserted a hose through her nose to start draining the buildup. She was later moved into room 5002.
Dr. Herb Mooney is the physician and we are all hoping that the tube will relieve the pressure and allow the bowels to start functioning.
